This role requires regular onsite presence to fulfill essential job responsibilities. Performs low-level and complex debug for multiple systems, subsystems within a product, or at the SoC level for Intel products. Works to continuously improve the debug discipline through new design for debug (DFD) tools and scripts. Applies deep understanding of SoC design, architecture, firmware, and software to resolve triage failures, marginality issues, and conduct root cause analysis. Defines, develops, and implements techniques for faster debug at the SoC and platform level and isolates failing components of a system. Drives bench test and formulates debug requirements and strategies at the system level, ensuring compatibility with architecture. Develops test methodologies for new device features and functionality, engages in new product debug, and improves debugging workflow and characterization activities. Collaborates with design, system validation teams, and high-volume manufacturing factories to track SoC debug readiness. As a principal engineer, recognized as a domain expert who influences and drives technical direction across Intel and industry. Develops and mentors' other technical leaders, grows the community, acts as a change agent, and role models Intel values. Aligns organizational goals with technical vision, formulates technical strategy to deliver leadership solutions, and demonstrates a track record of relentless execution in bringing products and technologies to market.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Graduate or post-graduate with 6+ years of experience
• proficiency in Scripting (python/rust etc.) or High-Level language programming like C/C++)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of computer architecture preferably x86 Data Centre (Xeon/XeonD) products with hands on experience of 5+ years
• Boot flows of server class CPUs with expertise on developing tools for initial boot and debug
