Description

The Portfolio Implementation Manager heads the Investment Implementation team, which is responsible for our centralized trading which includes our six USLC SMA’s and Mid Cap SMA as well as our Muni Ladder strategy, implementing internal investment strategies, generating portfolio change proposals, executing client directed trades, and approving account coding changes which impact centralized trading.  The Sr Manager is the product owner of our OMS, Charles River and collaborates with CP Change Management on various vendor reviews, upgrades, and new product launches. The Sr manager collaborates with CP Risk to ensure proper controls are in place and the groups RCSA is in order.

This position is responsible for working closely with CP management, setting strategic goals for the team, and managing the team towards those goals. This position will work closely with the Investment Research Group, Risk, Compliance, and Front Office Teams to establish strong processes, controls and oversight of equity and fixed income trading in CP client accounts.

The Sr Manager also leads the Centralized Portfolio Implementation (CPI) initiative overseeing the centralized management of ~3,000 client portfolios with AUM over $10B in accordance with the investment guidelines established by CP’s Investment Research Group. The Sr Manager is directly responsible for the growth of the CPI platform, establishing the CPI team’s approach to investment implementation responsibilities and for managing a team of Portfolio Analysts who execute on those responsibilities with a goal of building a strong relationship with the FO to centralize and streamline the operational and investment responsibilities to free up our FO colleagues from the operational and investment tasks. The CPI Team executes all equity, and fixed income trades and unilaterally implements asset allocation changes, monitors, and corrects portfolio drift, deploys and raises cash in client portfolios as needed, including Wealth Strategies and Private Funds ensuring clients’ accounts are managed properly to their signed IPS.  Some of your key responsibilities include:  

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in finance or related discipline, with a strong academic record, required
  • 10+ years of investment experience including portfolio management, municipal bond trading and industry standards.
  • Strong manager and analytical thinker to set the team’s goals and manage a group towards those goals. Strong management and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of BBH products, services, practices, and investment philosophy
  • Strong relationship management and people leadership skills
  • Knowledge of emerging trends in the industry
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to analyze complex issues and make sound decisions
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, while meeting deadlines and working under pressure
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration and relationship management skills

   

Salary Range

$130,000 - $170,000 Base salary plus annual incentive

The anticipated base salary range(s) shown above are only for the indicated location(s) and may differ in other locations due to cost of living and labor considerations. Base salaries may vary based on factors such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.
