INFS 662 - Intellectual Capital
Course Overview: Understanding the strategic role of intellectual assets: how individuals, communities and organizations can identify and leverage their knowledge, experience, expertise and innovations more systematically to create value for the organization. Emphasis is placed on understanding the links between individuals and the organization in the sharing of intellectual assets.
Teaching Qualification Requirements:
Education
The course lecturer should have successfully completed courses in knowledge management, including the topics covered by intellectual capital management, at the graduate level. A Master’s degree in Information Studies (or equivalent) is required.
Experience
Ideally, the candidate will have had taught a course in Intellectual Capital and has some professional experience in the management of intellectual capital in an organizational setting.
Other
The language of instruction at McGill is English, but a working knowledge of French would be an asset.
