You will lead the Medical Team in the Netherlands and be a key and trusted member of the Country Leadership Team. You will set and deliver a clear country medical strategy, aligned with GSK Global Medical vision to improve health outcomes and advance clinical practice via innovative products and treatment solutions: you will partner across Commercial, Regulatory, R&D and external stakeholders, and ensure high standards for patient safety and medical governance. Responsibilities
This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:
- Develop and implement the Netherlands medical strategy aligned with country priorities and global plans.
- Lead and grow the local medical team, develop capabilities, coach talent and promote open collaboration across functions.
- Maintain strong medical governance, ensure patient safety and meet local regulatory and pharmacovigilance requirements.
- Build and sustain trusted external relationships with healthcare professionals, academic centres, patient association groups, payers and policy makers.
- Drive evidence generation and scientific communication to support market access, medical education and lifecycle needs.
- Partner closely with Commercial, Regulatory, R&D and global teams to translate science into relevant local solutions.

Basic Qualification
We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals:
- Medical degree (MD) or equivalent recognised clinical/healthcare professional qualification in the Netherlands.
- Significant experience in medical affairs, clinical development or related medical leadership roles.
- Demonstrated success leading teams and working effectively in cross-functional, matrixed environments.
- Strong knowledge of the Netherlands healthcare system, regulatory framework and pharmacovigilance expectations.
- Proven stakeholder engagement skills with clinicians, payers, health authorities and academic partners.
- Fluent in Dutch and proficient in English (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualification
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
- Previous experience as Country Medical Director or similar senior medical leadership role.
- Experience with specialty therapeutic areas or complex portfolios.
- Record of leading evidence generation programs, clinical trial oversight or real-world data initiatives.
- Experience working with regional or global medical teams and contributing to broader strategy.
- Advanced degree such as PhD, MSc or MBA in a relevant field.
- Experience managing hybrid teams and remote collaboration.
