Country Medical Director - Mexico

We are seeking an exceptional Country Medical Director to join our Leadership Team and shape the future of our medical strategy in México.

As part of the Country Leadership Team, you will lead the medical team, define the medical strategy, collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence key healthcare stakeholders to drive meaningful impact for patients and the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set and execute a country-wide medical strategy aligned with business priorities.

  • Ensure world-class medical governance, compliance, and risk management.

  • Strengthen our scientific reputation through high‑impact external engagement with experts, institutions, and policymakers.

  • Drive medical excellence in product launches, evidence generation, and market access partnerships.

  • Build and develop a high‑performing Medical organization, fostering talent and future capabilities.

  • Champion digital innovation, data-driven insights, and modern scientific communication.

Basic qualifications

  • Medical degree (MD) or equivalent healthcare professional academic background.

  • Broad experience in senior medical leadership roles within the Medical Affairs landscape in the pharmaceutical industry (ideally as Country Medical Director) with proven leadership of high‑performing teams in complex matrix environments.

  • Recent expertise in high specialty portfolios (Oncology & Immunology)

  • Comprehensive understanding of local regulatory requirements, clinical development, and market access.

  • Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, and stakeholder influence skills. Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and leadership skills.

  • Fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken).

Preferred qualifications

  • Regional/global experience as a leader

  • Postgraduate degree in medical or pharmaceutical sciences (e.g., PhD, MBA).
