The Country Director is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s operations across Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia. This role carries full accountability for strategy, execution, and performance, with a strong emphasis on driving growth, managing profitability, and building a robust market presence. It combines general management responsibilities (including P&L ownership) with a deep focus on product and digital innovation to ensure the company maintains its competitive edge.

We are seeking a visionary leader who can seamlessly bridge strategic planning with hands-on execution to deliver market-ready products and measurable results. The Country Director will play a pivotal role in advancing the company’s digital product portfolio—launching new digital solutions, strengthening omni-channel capabilities, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. This position requires leading cross-functional teams and aligning regional business objectives with global strategies.

Role Responsibilities:

  • As a senior leader, you will serve as a catalyst for transformation by creating an environment where creativity thrives and high performance is the norm.   • You will lead all regional-level operations, ensuring alignment with the company’s global strategy and regional goals.
  • You will design and execute innovative strategies to accelerate revenue growth, particularly in digital channels and new customer segments.
  • You will oversee the P&L, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded through effective cost management and revenue generation.
  • You will serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external partners, including regulatory bodies, industry associations, and key customers.
  • Champion the development and deployment of digital products and services, ensuring they meet market demands and deliver superior customer experiences.
  • You will lead initiatives to strengthen the company’s omni-channel presence, integrating online and offline platforms seamlessly.
  • You will stay ahead of digital trends and competitor activities, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of innovation.
  • You will build and maintain strategic partnerships with local stakeholders, including financial institutions, regulatory bodies, and technology providers.
  • You will identify and negotiate joint ventures, collaborations, and partnerships to enhance the company’s local presence.
  • Set clear KPIs for the country’s operations and ensure regular monitoring and reporting.
  • You will analyze business performance, customer feedback, and market trends to refine strategies and improve outcomes.
  • You will ensure the highest standards of operational efficiency, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • You will partner with marketing, sales, product development, operations, legal and compliance to ensure alignment and impact.
  • You will inspire and mentor teams to foster a culture of innovation and excellence.

Role Requirements:

  • Minimum 15+ years in General Management with proven expertise in revenue and profitability, managing large retail operations, and driving digital growth.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, strategy, management, transformation or a related field.
  • Proficiency in digital tools (including analytics), platforms, and e-commerce technologies.
  • You will need an understanding of technologies is a must.
  • You should have expertise in omni-channel retail and digital product delivery.
  • Strong strategic planning and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Visionary, results-driven, adaptable, and collaborative with a passion for innovation and growth.
  • You should be able to have transparent and productive relationships with peers and collaborate successfully across the organization.
  • You have an ability to be a company-wide change-agent that influences strategic actions and mindset changes.
