About the Role

 As part of Global Supply Chain and Procurement department (GSC&P) provides oversight on financial activities and controls including general accounting, management and external reporting and financial planning and analysis. The tower is responsible for the interpretation of financial and statutory data, the coordination and management of financial and statutory reporting, the management of the P&L and balance sheet delivering solutions that will increase insight and transparency. Tower responsibilities also include ensuring there is a true and fair representation of business performance at the cut-off point for the period and transparency on financials for Business Performance Management.

 

Purpose of Role

The purpose of the role is to provide Costing support for the annual SKU reset, monthly recoveries reporting and ongoing Innovation and Brand Change projects (innovation, renovation, etc.), from indicative costings through to final product costing, applying a high attention to detail to ensure the integrity of costing data and the accuracy of the product cost. The role requires a person who is Subject Matter Expert on Costing processes. Willingness and capability of coordinating BAU processes within the Costing Team is a must.

Top Accountabilities

  • Engage business partners in the annual SKU reset and manage it through them.

  • Calculate of the overhead activity rates (labor, plant, central overheads or PMUDOS) in the annual SKU reset.

  • Manage annual/monthly recoveries & production accounting reporting process (provision of AOP, monthly analysis of variances, forecasting)

  • Run monthly ML closing cycle & understand key dependencies of successful ML closing/actual costing and supports other team members in issue resolution

  • Provision of indicative costings – supporting project managers with indicative costings for innovation / renovation etc projects, ensuring accurate calculation of product costs, overheads, depreciation etc for gatekeeper decision making purposes.

  • New SKU Costing – Following gate sign-off, costing the product in SAP (c1,500 new SKUs per annum), liaising with the Technical Centre and BTP teams to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the SKU cost in SAP and finance Costing tracker.

  • Standardization / Simplification – in collaboration with other Costing colleagues, simplifying and standardizing costing processes into a single way of Costing.

  • Taking a leading role among Costing Analysts by supporting Costing Manager with supervising daily operations, coaching peers and playing key role during significant projects across the team.

About You

  • University or College degree in Economics or Finance and Accounting

  • Costing and/or Financial Controlling experience is strongly preferred

  • 4-5 years experience in relevant area

  • Strong accounting experience

  • Good accounting knowledge

  • Experience in a global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment

  • Experience in a Financial Planning & Analysis / Shared services environment is considered as an advantage

  • Have the ability to think broadly when a system related challenge occurs and extract data in a way that supports decision making

  • Fluent English knowledge
