Cost Administrator

Cost Administrator (or Administrative Coordinator I ) performs a variety of operational activities in support of Research Marketing, including:

  • Expense Report processing for Management Team

  • Purchase Order Requisition (POR) processing and POR follow-ups for all of Research Marketing

  • Other MEO projects as needed

This position utilizes Oracle, Chrome River, SFDC, CRM and research tools (such as LinkedIn, Zoom Info and Google) .  Many tasks/projects require basic knowledge of excel and SharePoint.        

The Administrative Coordinator I also works closely with Research Marketing, Finance and Account Payables.   

Very good communication skills and a basic understanding of Marketing are required to effectively perform this job.      

Accountabilities

The Cost Administrator (or Administrative Coordinator I) is accountable for the following activities:

  • Processing of Purchase Orders:  Raise PO requests from SharePoint in a timely manner as per established process, notify requestors on POR status, send follow-up emails, keep track of pending PORs, assist with requestor queries about PO and payment status

  • Process Travel and Expense Reports:  Process T&E reports Research Marketing Management Team using Chrome River as per established process.  Follow-up to ensure reports are accurately processed.

  • Operational Excellence:  Maintain POR and T&E Tracker.  Update team dashboards and process guidelines.  Provide solutions related to POR and T&E issues. 

  • Other BU Assigned Projects/Task

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree holder

  • 1-3 years of similar experience

  • Ability to complete complex tasks with little to no direction

  • Self-motivation and strong initiative needed as well as strong teamwork and cooperation

  • Strong modeling and statistical skills i.e. Excel and database, with the ability to learn new systems and tools

  • Superior working knowledge of Salesforce, Database management tools, POR Sharepoint, Oracle R12, Chromriver, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Solvency dealing with data issues (e.g. data cleaning, outliers, data linking and matching) is preferred

  • Highly analytical with excellent problem-solving skills

  • Ability to think from a user’s point of view 

  • Performance-driven mindset, very good logical and analytical capabilities
