The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
The Corporate Finance Director is responsible for financial leadership of the shared services organizations (e.g. IT, R&D, HR, Finance) and driving enhanced capital allocation through a focus on R&D spending and returns and supporting the 3M transformation program. This role will manage a team and partner with Finance leaders and senior operating leaders across 3M.

Establishing clear spend, productivity, and ROI reporting for Corporate Staff Services with actionable KPIs
Collaborate with Corporate Finance and organizational leaders to improve capital allocation, establish KPIs, manage spend, and drive greater visibility, analytics, investment effectiveness, and productivity.
Support the 3M transformation program through evaluation of new operating models, identification and implementation of new productivity initiatives, etc.
Identify and eliminate waste from current processes. Develop and implement a daily management system to drive financial outcomes and business accountability using data and data analytics
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
Ten (10) years of Finance experience in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Master's degree in Finance from an accredited institution
Five (5) years of Corporate Finance and/or Financial Planning and Analysis in a private, public, government or military environment
Skills include people leadership, collaboration, communication and adaptability.
Work location:
Travel: May include up to 10% domestic
Relocation: Is not authorized
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
