Job Description Summary:

This role exists to ensure the safety and security of executives and organization-sponsored events through proactive planning, vendor oversight, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. The position supports business continuity and executive engagement by mitigating physical risks and maintaining a secure environment across office locations and event venues.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Executive & Event Security Oversight: Lead planning and execution of physical security measures for executives and events. Provide input on security policies, risk mitigation strategies, and crisis response protocols. Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure effective security operations.
  • Protective Intelligence Monitoring: Monitor and assess physical threats to inform proactive security decisions. Stay current on emerging risks, technologies, and regulatory requirements. Recommend tools and systems to support protective intelligence.
  • Vendor Management: Oversee vendor relationships for security personnel and systems. Ensure service delivery meets expectations for timeliness, accuracy, and compliance. Manage security-related projects and budgets.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and maintain partnerships with internal departments, law enforcement, and external security teams. Integrate security requirements into broader organizational operations. Participate in industry training and liaison activities.

The posting range for this position is:
$111,878.00-$160,925.77

 

Required Education, Certifications and Experience:

Education:

  • Required Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Security Management, Criminal Justice or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Preferred Master's Degree in Security Management, Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or other related business discipline or equivalent work experience

Experience:

  • Required 7+ Years of progressively responsible experience in corporate security, law enforcement, intelligence, or military security operations


Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of security protocols and practices relating to executive protection, physical security, crisis management and life safety programs
  • Capable of developing and maintaining access to sources of information with various regulatory and other security entities.
  • Proven ability to advocate/negotiate a position/point of view to others and the ability to act independently and make appropriate decisions in complex situations and effectively present information and establish clear understanding and buy-in, particularly to senior management-level personnel and external audiences.
  • Background that meets eligibility for LEOSA qualification is preferred.
  • Ability to conduct presentations to various groups, both in an informational and training environment. Proven ability to develop relationships, and establish trust in professional effectiveness.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including interactions with executive staff.
  • Excellent analytical skills, independent business judgment, the ability to think creatively to determine appropriate conclusions, and a willingness to take the initiative to take the appropriate actions in response.
  • Excellent organizational, project management and leadership skills and the ability to think strategically and have an excellent corporate presence, maintaining composure and tact in an adversarial and sometimes antagonistic environment.
  • Technical proficiency with Microsoft Windows, WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint and Outlook.


Certifications & Licenses:

  • Preferred: ASIS International - Certified Protection Professional (CPP)

Additional Preferred Experience:

  • Minimum of 8–10 years of progressively responsible experience in corporate security, law enforcement, intelligence, or military security operations.

  • 15+ years of relevant experience (including supervisory or command experience in military or law enforcement) can be substituted.
