The Corporate Salesperson is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver best in class solutions to clients across FX, FX options, Risk Management Solutions and originate multi asset opportunities mainly for China Parented Names incorporated in Singapore.
  • Understand and analyze clients’ businesses and exposures to provide best suited sales solutions in full coordination with all relevant business partners.
  • Work in close liaison with the coverage banker team to deliver a coordinated business strategy across products, clients and delivery channels
  • Achieve ambitious personal and team goals in both market and wallet share from the identified client franchise, originate and execute meaningful and landmark transactions
  • Assist clients on non-market risk management challenges, for example, balance sheet, cash-flow/earnings risk analysis and strategic, episodic driven hedging discussions
  • Develop a deep and broad personal “trusted advisor” relationship with primary clients, aiming to a foster a strong relationship with key top-level decision makers.
  • Fostering an environment of collaboration through interfacing with appropriate internal partners to enhance share of mind with clients, increase dialogue and to deliver on expertise
  • Strive to deliver efficient FX execution solutions and to increase E-penetration
  • Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions, demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation
  • Ensure all desk activities are carried out in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including internal Citi policies, and to the highest ethical standards
  • Actively stay informed of changes in a dynamic, competitive marketplace and constantly changing regulatory environment in various countries within Asia
  • Help drive the team's developed strategy across specified product lines and originate and execute meaningful and landmark transactions
  • Be familiar with and adhere to Citi’s Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


Qualifications:

  • 4-10 years of experience
  • Previous experience in client-facing roles with proven track record on growing and maintaining relationships through value added service and commercial skills
  • An entrepreneurial approach for business origination and developing new relationships
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of financial accounting principles, company balance sheets and understanding of corporate finance
  • Strong analytical skills, with an eye for details coupled with good oral/written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a good team player who is flexible and adaptable, able to work within a dynamic team
  • Comfortable handling multiple tasks, projects, initiatives simultaneously in a timely manner
  • Self motivated individual, highly resourceful
  • Sets and achieves results with minimum support and is decisive; quickly moves issues to resolution
  • Mature, professional and objective when dealing with others
  • Native/Fluent in English and Mandarin as the individual will be dealing with Chinese clientele


Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
