The Role: Corporate Risk Solutions - Relationship Manager

Location: London or Reading (regular travel to Reading office)

Corporate Risk Solutions (CRS) is a division within M&G Life with a remit is to design and deliver bulk purchase annuities and alternative de-risking products for Defined Benefit pension schemes. Due to ongoing success and a strong opportunity, the team is adding headcount in a number of areas.

The CRS Relation Manager is responsible for the ensure transactions that are executed are executed in a sustainable and scalable manner alongside post execution management of selected CRS transactions.

Key Responsibilities for this role:

  • Contract Management of CRS transactions.
  • Pre-sales support to the CRS Solutions Director in relation to operational clauses.
  • Relationship Management of external CRS counterparties including Trustees and Reinsurers acting as the key point of contact for both internal and external parties.
  • Responsible for the collation of all reporting data including having overall responsibility for the quality of all external deliverables.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholder on challenges to assumptions and calculations
  • Development of an operating model for the operation of Reinsurance contracts including embedding appropriate controls.
  • Drive continuous improvement through innovation and the seeking out and acting on new opportunities.
  • Provide management information to appropriate governance forums.
  • Support the delivery of other elements of the CRS business plan.

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Strong analytical or actuarial skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Financial Services & Insurance knowledge, especially around defined benefit pension de-risking, with profits, reinsurance and investment solutions (including Defined Contribution investment solutions)
  • Experience of managing a number of internal parties to ensure delivery of contractual deliverables
  • Experience of managing external counterparties.
  • Passion for the customer
  • Pension Technical knowledge
  • Effective written and presentation skills
  • High degree of honesty, integrity and discretion
