In this dynamic environment, we are looking for an ambitious and self-driven Senior Associate to join our Corporate Reporting Services (CRS) team in Athens.    

  • Provide technical support and advice to assurance (audit and non-audit) client engagement teams on complex financial reporting topics under IFRS and Greek GAAP
  • Participate in the Global CRS network calls, working groups and other activities and have the opportunity to liaise with senior members of the Global team in respect of consultation topics and technical papers on IFRS interpretation issues
  • Work on the development of internal practice guides and other communication regarding corporate reporting updates shared with the assurance practice
  • Develop and deliver corporate reporting training to internal and external audiences
  • Work closely with other PwC service lines on multi-disciplinary projects as a topic / subject matter accounting specialist
  • Support the performance of pre-issuance technical reviews of IFRS financial statements of audit clients
  • Support the performance of thematic reviews on specific technical areas the results of which will be presented to the assurance leadership and practice

What you bring matters 

  • University degree in Accounting & Finance, Business Administration and/or related disciplines. Hold professional qualifications (ACCA, ACA, IESOEL) or be in the process of completing your professional qualification exams
  • Four (4) or more years in audit, accounting or similar roles
  • Technical expertise and practical experience in the application of IFRS will be considered an advantage
  • Ability to understand complex accounting transactions and commercial/business drivers
  • Ability to develop solutions based on a sound understanding of facts and research of the relevant material, within a commercial sound framework
  • Assertive, flexible, proactive, and self-motivated with a desire for learning
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to build trust within teams
