Job Description

Peterson Cat has a need for a Corporate Project Manager at our San Leandro, CA location.

SUMMARY

The Corporate Project Manager will lead and facilitate projects from initiating to closing using a best-practices, appropriate project management methodology. This position leads teams to successfully reach project deliverables within scope, budget, and duration. This position requires a high degree of teamwork, collaboration, and cooperation to achieve successful project completion.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Identify stakeholders and secure resources for assigned administrative and software development projects.

  • Develop, manage, and own project plans including scope, budget, and duration for assigned administrative and software development projects.

  • Conduct process requirements sessions with key business users to document and understand as-is processes.

  • Lead and work with project teams and outside vendors on all phases of an implementation, including pre-work, kick-off, configuration, testing, training, go-live, and post-go live.

  • Work with process owners, stakeholders, key business users, and outside vendors to develop, implement, and document optimized processes.

  • Perform risk assessments and manage Risk Plan and Change Management Plan

  • Compute, document, and communicate project status; resolve issues; facilitate and negotiate with stakeholders, process owners, outside vendors, and team members.

  • Manage request for proposal (RFP) process for new projects.

  • Develop training plans and serve as a resource for user acceptance testing (UAT) and training.

  • Perform resource duties on projects as needed to maintain timetables.

  • Manage project team activities.

  • Mobilize others to meet project deliverables.

  • Provide vision and inspiration to stakeholders and teammates.

  • Add value by discovering ways to improve and promote quality.

  • Travel up to 25% of the time to meet with stakeholders and/or team members, visit branch locations, and visit customer and/or vendor sites.

  • Operate company or personal vehicle as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree from a fully accredited college in Business or other closely related field; and a minimum of three years of directly related experience in leading administrative and software implementations, preferably in a heavy industrial environment; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Project Management certification: Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) preferred

  • Agile certification preferred.

  • Six Sigma Black Belt preferred

  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record

The pay range for this position is: $116,000.00 - $140,000.00 (Starting wage will depend on experience and education. We also offer a total compensation package in addition to base salary.)
