Corporate Physical Security Project Manager

Mueller is looking for an experienced Corporate Physical Security Project Manager responsible for assisting in the planning and execution of projects related to physical security systems, infrastructure, and processes. This role ensures that all security projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while meeting the organization’s quality standards and security requirements. This role is also responsible for assisting with the ongoing administration of the physical security systems. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end management of physical security projects, including access control, critical communication systems, surveillance systems, alarm systems, and facility hardening initiatives.

  • Develop project scopes, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and security leadership.

  • Create and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, while proactively identifying and mitigating risks.

  • Coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and contractors to ensure timely and effective project delivery.

  • Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of security systems, ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations.

  • Prepare and present project status reports and documentation for management and stakeholders.

  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to identify lessons learned and opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate with IT partners and stakeholders post implementation to address system administration needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 5+ years of experience in physical security project management or a related discipline.

  • Strong knowledge of physical security systems, technologies, and best practices.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is preferred.

  • Ability to travel to project sites in the US and Canada as needed.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with security compliance standards and regulations.

  • Proficiency with project management software and tools.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

This position reports to the Sr. Director of Security and offers the opportunity to play a key role in protecting the organization’s people, assets, and operations through effective project management and implementation of advanced physical security solutions.
