Job Summary

As a Corporate Paralegal at AmeriLife, you will be a trusted partner to senior in house counsel and business leaders, supporting complex corporate governance, regulatory, and transactional work across a growing, multi affiliate enterprise.
You will work directly with attorneys and executives, take ownership of legal processes and records, and gain meaningful exposure to mergers and acquisitions, regulatory strategy, and enterprise level legal operations.

What You’ll Do:

  • Serve as a key point of contact with state insurance departments and secretaries of state

  • Prepare, maintain, and oversee corporate minute books, licenses, registrations, and electronic corporate records to ensure regulatory readiness, transaction efficiency, and audit‑level accuracy across multiple affiliates

  • Work closely with in‑house attorneys and executives on a wide range of matters, including corporate governance, real estate, litigation support, administrative matters, and contracts

  • Collaborate professionally with internal departments, internal clients, and outside counsel as part of a sophisticated, fast‑moving legal function

Growth & Development Opportunities

  • Exposure to mergers and acquisitions, regulatory strategy, and enterprise‑level transactions

  • Hands‑on experience with contract management systems and legal operations tools

Qualifications: 

This role is open to both experienced candidates and strong entry level candidates who are starting their legal career or transitioning from a related field.

Required

  • Minimum two-year undergraduate academic degree, paralegal certification or other formal legal training

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • High attention to detail and sound judgment

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with professionalism and discretion

  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and exercising excellent judgment

Nice to have (Not Required)

  • Prior corporate, regulatory, or legal operations experience

  • Exposure to contract management systems or corporate governance tools
