The Corporate Legal & Litigation Head supports the Legal function by providing timely, practical, and risk‑focused legal assistance across corporate legal and litigation matters. The role covers legal research, drafting, regulatory monitoring, dispute management, and advisory support to Counsel/Senior Counsel while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

The position works closely with business units to identify, manage, and mitigate legal and dispute‑related risks, providing pragmatic legal advice to support daily operations and business decisions while safeguarding the Company’s interests

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support the General Counsel in providing strategic leadership to the Corporate Legal team, including resource management, capability development, and delivery of timely, business-oriented legal advice.
  • Strengthen legal governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks across the organization.
  •  Advise management on significant legal, regulatory, and litigation risks.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, agreements, addenda, amendments, and internal policies.
  • Provide legal advice on operational, commercial, and regulatory matters, particularly within the insurance industry.
  • Conduct legal research to support business and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments and assess impact on business operations.
  • Participate in Product Development Committee meetings to review new and enhanced insurance products.
  • Review policy wordings, riders, applications, forms, and product documentation.
  • Lead and manage legal cases and disputes, including: Customer complaints and escalated dispute matters, Civil and criminal litigation, Fraud cases (agents, employees, customers, or third parties), Employment disputes and HR-related litigation & Corporate and commercial disputes
  • Coordinate with external counsel, regulators, law enforcement, and relevant authorities as required.
  • Prepare and review legal correspondence, complaint responses, statements, and official communications.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law; advocate license preferred.
  • Minimum 10–12 years’ experience in corporate legal and litigation, preferably within insurance or financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of Indonesian laws, regulations, insurance governance, and dispute resolution.
  • Proven experience handling litigation, fraud cases, regulatory matters, and complex disputes.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to provide pragmatic, business-focused legal solutions and lead cross-functional discussions.
