Job Description

MBK Real Estate is hiring a Corporate Director of Marketing to lead our Senior Living Marketing team at our Home Office in Irvine, CA!

This role will be hybrid with 3 days in office and 2 days remote.

Job Summary:

The Corporate Director of Marketing is a strategic leader responsible for developing and executing marketing initiatives that drive brand awareness, lead generation, occupancy growth, and revenue performance across MBK Senior Living communities. This role sets the vision for marketing strategy while ensuring alignment with sales objectives, operational priorities, and MBK’s mission and values.

Reporting to the SVPSM, the Corporate Director of marketing partners closely with Sales, Operations, and Executive Leadership, providing strategic direction, campaign oversight, and data-driven insights that support both immediate results and long-term growth. This leader ensures brand consistency, market differentiation, and effective deployment of marketing resources across all communities.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Hire, train, set performance goals and timelines, monitor and evaluate performance, and provide coaching for Marketing Managers, Marketing and Sales Coordinators, and Graphic Designers.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive corporate marketing strategy aligned with company occupancy and revenue goals.
  • Analyze performance data and market trends to refine marketing strategy and maximize ROI.
  • Oversee digital marketing strategy, including website optimization, SEO/SEM, paid media, reputation management, and third-party lead sources.
  • Monitor lead flow, cost per lead, conversion metrics, and campaign performance.
  • Select, negotiate, and manage marketing vendors and agency partnerships. Evaluate and optimize third-party partnerships (e.g., referral aggregators, digital vendors).
  • Develop and manage the corporate marketing budget, monitoring marketing spend and ROI across regions and communities.
  • Partner with Regional Directors of Sales to identify underperforming markets and deploy targeted marketing solutions.
  • Guide communities in the development and execution of local marketing plans.
  • Conduct and oversee market research to assess competitive landscape and emerging trends, providing actionable insights to leadership regarding market threats, opportunities, and strategic adjustments.
  • Support community events, grand openings, repositioning efforts, and rebranding initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners. Promote collaboration between Marketing, Sales, and Operations to ensure unified messaging and execution.
  • Model MBK’s mission and values in leadership approach and decision-making.
  • Reinforce a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement within the marketing function.

  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for team members, residents, and guests following established safety standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Understand and comply with Federal, State, and local regulations, and company policies and procedures concerning the department.
  • Perform other job duties or special projects as assigned or requested by Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business. communications, marketing or related field, required.
  • MBA preferred.

Experience Requirements (in years):

  • 8+ years’ experience in technology, or directly related industry, marketing experience.
  • 5+ years in a strong leadership/management role.
  • Experience managing marketing programs and channel marketing, preferred.
  • Experience managing budget and external vendors.
  • Experience working at both tactical and strategic levels.

Required Competencies/Licenses/Certifications:  

  • Proficient in PC use with solid skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.), Adobe Creative Suite, and Google Analytics; Welcome Home, HubSpot, and WordPress experience, a plus.
  • Must complete required Background clearances, health screening and provide negative TB test results within 7 days of employment (must be within the last 6 months).
  • Valid state issued driver’s license and valid insurance, or reliable method of transportation.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, including the ability to read, write, and speak English, confident presenting in public and to small groups.
  • Ability to deal tactfully and professionally at all times with personnel, residents, family members, and guests.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement, and make effective decisions in all circumstances, including stressful situations.
  • Highly organized with strong project management, planning, multitasking, creativity, and analytical skills; able to present a positive and professional image at all times.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high-energy environment and be a proactive communicator.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Must be able to work during normal business hours at the Irvine, CA Corporate office three days per week, and be able and willing to travel to communities 10% of the time, as business needs dictate.
  • Must be mobile and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, pulling, lifting overhead, repetitive motion and sitting/working at a computer for prolonged periods.
  • Able to move intermittently throughout the workday and between neighborhoods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push up to 250 pounds, as necessary.

Salary: $160,000-$180,000 + Bonus
