Deal Pipeline & Market Intelligence
Support the development and maintenance of an M&A/partnership pipeline aligned to TYLin’s strategic vision and priority sectors/geographies.
Conduct market mapping and target research: services, geographic footprint, client base, competitive position, delivery model, and strategic fit.
Draft “target intelligence” summaries (one-pagers/briefs) to support prioritization and outreach planning.
Financial Modeling & Value Driver Analysis (Professional Services)
Develop and maintain financial and operational models that evaluate potential opportunities (growth scenarios, synergy hypotheses, sensitivity analysis).
Analyze consulting engineering value drivers – both internally at TYLin Group as well as at potential targets - including:
NSR trends, margin profile, and revenue mix (public/private; sectors; delivery models)
Backlog (quality, duration, conversion assumptions)
Utilization/chargeability and realization trends
Working capital signals (DSO, unbilled/WIP, write-offs) and cash conversion
Cost structure, overhead, EBITDA, and integration assumptions
Support valuation work (transaction comps, relevant benchmarks, and scenario-based value ranges).
Market Research and Competitor Benchmarking
Perform market research – including sizing the construction and engineering markets across our core sectors and geographies – and competitor benchmarking to help us understand our current potential and growth potential in key business areas
Make improvements to existing tools – including reviewing new data sources, revisiting underlying assumptions, and evaluating template design and usability – to support more rapid analysis and evaluation of specific hypotheses
Due Diligence Support
Help synthesize diligence findings into decision-ready summaries, highlighting risks, red flags, and value-creation opportunities.
Integration Planning Support
Support pre-close integration planning and post-close tracking (milestones, decision logs, risks/issues, value capture).
Help document lessons learned and improve Corporate Development tools, templates, and playbooks to support repeatable execution.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or related field.
1–3 years relevant experience (internships/co-ops included) in corporate development, investment banking, consulting, transaction advisory, FP&A, strategy, or analytics.
Strong Excel skills (modeling, data analysis), market research skills (including leveraging traditional and AI tools) and strong PowerPoint skills .
Ability to work effectively in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment with multiple priorities and shifting inputs.
Strong written and verbal communication and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
Strong collaborator and team player, both within the direct strategy team and across the broader business
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with consulting/professional services metrics (NSR, backlog, utilization, realization, WIP/unbilled, DSO).
Exposure to data/reporting tools (Power BI/Tableau) and project accounting systems (e.g., Deltek).
Experience coordinating cross-functional workstreams or building materials for senior leadership decision-making.

Maintains an accurate, actionable M&A pipeline and produces high-quality target intelligence.
Builds reliable models to evaluate both potential transactions and market/competitor information and produces decision-ready summaries.
Coordinates results efficiently and communicates recommendations clearly.
Becomes a trusted execution partner to the Corporate Development team.
TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $85,000 - $105,000 annually for this position and local market.
