This role will provide strategic as well as pragmatic Legal guidance and solutions to Edwards Israel, commercial and innovation center, its teams and functions.
How you will make an impact:
Provide legal guidance as a legal subject matter expert including serving an advisory role to management to provide direction and guidance to teams to execute enterprise-level projects, initiatives and/or programs (e.g., legal research, recommendations on courses of action, contract review, drafting and negotiating agreements, review and interpretation of legislation, document review in litigation, and subject matter specific projects)
Plan and implement legal projects and activities with accountability for successful completion within scope of project deliverables
Provide direction and guidance to smaller project teams to execute tactical legal projects and/or initiatives
Identify and evaluate legal process improvement opportunities
Litigation: Assist attorneys in the conduct of litigation and internal discovery, Lead in the implementation of litigation holds, Respond to subpoenas
What you’ll need:
Law Degree, Bar Admitted Attorney in Israel
Qualified to practice in Israel
5-6 years of experience post‑qualification, significant experience in a corporate / in‑house legal environment
Experience advising commercial, R&D, and operational teams in a regulated industry (Medical Devices / life sciences preferred)
Expert understanding of related aspects of legal processes and/or systems
Ability to represent leadership on programs or org-specific strategic initiatives within multiple areas, interfacing with project managers, legal team and leadership team
Ability to consult in program setting within multiple financial areas, deeper or more dedicated advisory role, interfacing with more senior management
Ability to provide leadership to outsourcing partners on a directive level, participates on medium scale RFP
