Northrop Grumman’s Legal and Contracts Department is seeking a Corporate Counsel for its litigation group at the Company’s headquarters in Falls Church, Virginia. The Corporate Counsel will focus on disputes involving the Company’s government contracts, including bid protests, claims and REAs, and matters involving DCMA, DCAA, or other federal agencies. The Corporate Counsel also may work as needed on investigations or commercial disputes.
Specific responsibilities include:
Working with and managing external lawyers and services providers
Developing and implementing legal strategies and managing the Company’s actions regarding potential disputes and matters in litigation
Collaborating across all parts of the business to provide effective legal advice to the Company
Briefing senior management on disputes or matters involving a significant legal exposure or risk to the Company
Developing and managing legal budgets

Ability to balance multiple, competing priorities
Basic Qualifications:
Juris Doctor degree
Active State Bar Membership with the ability to become a member of the Virginia Bar or licensed Virginia corporate counsel
At least 8 years of litigation and government contracts experience, with more experience preferred
Experience litigating government contract matters
Proven litigation experience and expertise as a litigation strategist
US Citizenship Required with the ability to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Active US Security Clearance
Significant bid protest experience
Experience supporting clients in the defense and/or intelligence communities
Experience litigating against or on behalf of the federal government
