Compensation

Compensation includes a base salary of $81,400.00 - $122,000.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Job Description

We're seeking a highly skilled Corporate Communications Senior Specialist to provide strategic support for Cox Automotive's Retail Solutions thought leadership and executive visibility programs. This role serves as a critical behind-the-scenes partner, executing high-quality copywriting for thought leadership and executive communications initiatives while managing complex projects and guiding agency partnerships. 

This is a full-time position requiring exceptional writing skills, project management expertise, and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. 

What You’ll Do 

Copywriting & Content Development 

  • Write and edit thought leadership content including eBooks, articles, blog posts, executive bylines, and research reports 

  • Draft and refine executive speeches, presentations, and talk tracks for internal and external audiences 

  • Adapt content for different channels and audiences while maintaining brand voice and messaging consistency 

  • Support development of signature thought leadership assets and materials 

Project Management 

  • Manage timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications for multiple concurrent projects 

  • Coordinate workflows across internal teams and external agency partners 

  • Track project status, identify risks, and proactively problem-solve to keep initiatives on track 

  • Maintain project documentation and ensure all deliverables meet quality standards 

  • Create and manage project briefs, creative briefs, and status reports 

Agency Partnership Management 

  • Serve as day-to-day liaison with creative and content agencies 

  • Brief agency partners on project requirements, brand guidelines, and deliverable expectations 

  • Review and provide feedback on agency work to ensure alignment with strategic objectives 

  • Manage agency workflows and ensure timely delivery of high-quality outputs

Who You Are 

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline and 4 years of professional experience in corporate communications, content development, or related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 2 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience; or 8 years’ experience in a related field.

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with a portfolio demonstrating versatility across formats (thought leadership, executive communications) 

  • Experience supporting C-suite or senior executive communications 

  • Proven project management capabilities with experience managing multiple priorities and complex timelines 

  • Agency management experience with ability to brief, guide, and evaluate external partners 

  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality 

  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight while meeting tight deadlines 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred:

  • Experience in automotive, retail, or B2B technology sectors 

  • Familiarity with integrated thought leadership campaigns and multi-channel content strategies 

  • Experience with corporate thought leadership programs
