Scope of Responsibilities
Support the development of well-crafted, concise and highly engaging communications including pitches, press releases, social posts and other tools needed to tell our story.
Research, write and assist in the placement of customer stories in national tier-1 media. Ideate strategic and compelling customer storytelling opportunities, while demonstrating a deep understanding of the customer’s voice and company values.
Assist in the management of the communications team’s operational processes including media lists and database management.
Support media monitoring and measurement, using the insights to guide future planning.
Collaborate with interns from other departments on individual and group projects.
Support other communications projects as assigned, including measurement, reporting, events and limited administrative duties.
Requirements
Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in journalism, communications, public relations or marketing.
Currently third-year/junior status in undergraduate degree program; on track to enter senior year/final year by summer 2026.
Previous internship or professional experience, preferably in a communications, public relations or marketing role preferred.
Must be based in the Chicago area.

Outstanding writing, editing and proofreading skills, with experience writing content for varied audiences and channels.

Note: Candidate must be in the Chicago office 3 days per week.
