Role Detail

As a key member of KWM’s renowned corporate hospitality team, you’ll collaborate with our Head Chef to deliver exceptional food experiences for our internal café, boardrooms, and corporate events.

This is a full-time role (Mon–Fri, 6:00am–2:00pm). Occasional flexibility for additional hours may be required.

We’re seeking a talented, committed, and creative chef who’s eager to bring their own ideas while supporting the Head Chef’s vision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and present high-quality food for daily café service, buffets, cocktail parties, and functions
• Assist in planning and developing rotating weekly café menus
• Supervise and mentor kitchen staff as needed
• Help with stock ordering and inventory management
• Support rostering, function planning, and team coordination
• Undertake projects as assigned by the Head Chef or management
• Respond efficiently to client requests, aiming to exceed expectations
• Maintain kitchen hygiene and safety standards, ensuring equipment is well cared for

About You

You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have:

• Formal chef qualifications (e.g. Certificate III in Commercial Cookery)
• At least 3 years’ experience in a boardroom, corporate, hotel, or high-volume restaurant kitchen
• Strong cold larder and hot silver service preparation skills
• Experience with stock ordering and menu planning
• Creative and health-conscious approach to menu planning and preparation, with an understanding of dietary requirements
• Function coordination experience
• Computer literacy, particularly with MS Office
• A flexible, reliable, and confident approach - able to stay calm under pressure
• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Willingness to work flexible hours as needed
