Details of the Division and Team:

With offices in New York, California, London, Frankfurt, Milan, Mumbai, Lisbon, Dublin, Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo, the Corporate Trust (CT) team at Deutsche Bank has long been recognised as a leader in the provision of administrative and fiduciary services to the global debt and equities markets.

You will drive new business growth for CT products across structures from the simplest to the most complex, covering Escrows, Corporate Debt, Loan Agency, Project Finance, Asset Backed Securities and Collateralized loan obligation (CLOs).

You will be responsible for driving and expanding CT Sales efforts in the region, focusing specifically on driving growth initiatives.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Driving new business growth across an existing client, prospect and intermediary portfolio, originating new business mandates across Corporate Trust (CT) products and focus client segments

  • Develop and assist in driving the execution of strategic short and longer-term sales execution plans (e.g. new products, market sizing, buying center identification, priority targets) and sales campaigns (e.g. calling, bid activity) for growth areas, ensuring consistent tracking and accountability across the sales team

  • Take ownership of revenue and calling targets aligned to wider growth strategy of the Corporate Trust business

  • Developing and execution of calling plans and strategic sales initiatives, including the preparation of RfP responses, pricing approvals and tailored sales pitches.

  • Collaborate across the bank’s core pillars (e.g. Corporate Bank, Investment Bank, Private Bank) to maximise referral opportunities to grow revenues and coordinate on key bank relationships

  • Driving the sales execution process across live pipeline

  • Work with product teams to support in the execution of new business, assist in product benchmarking and competitive analysis

  • Work to ensure adherence to applicable internal policies and external legal/regulatory frameworks.

  • Direct client/prospect engagement in person

  • Represent the bank at industry conferences, seminars and/or awards

Your skills and experience:

  • Proven track record in product sales (specifically Corporate Trust) and delivering sales growth

  • Relevant product, market development and corporate strategy experience, preferably within a leading Corporate Trust (CT) firm, financial institution; Securitisation / Capital Markets / Investment Banking / M&A firm

  • Strong knowledge of CT product and/or core client segments alongside a track record of positive client engagement involving the entire sales cycle

  • Strong network and origination experience focused on Corporate Issuers and Borrowers, intermediaries (e.g. law firms, investment banks, M&A Advisors etc) and Non-Banking Financial Institutions (NBFIs)

  • Experience in being responsible for aggressive revenue targets and building new and successful relationships.

  • A proactive “can do” attitude, the ability to work independently and have a strong work ethic.

  • Excellent communication skills, with an ability to articulate clearly to an executive audience and present on a variety of topics to senior stakeholders

  • Strong understanding and knowledge of the risk control and compliance frameworks required in banking industry.
