What Your Impact Is

As an ESG Assurance Assessor, you will:

  • Deliver assurance services to multinational clients across a variety of sectors.
  • Support Project Managers in the independent verification of GHG/ESG information, sustainability‑linked financial instruments, and product‑level claims.
  • Contribute to high‑quality assessments that uphold ERM CVS’s reputation as a trusted global verification body.
  • Build strong capability in sustainability assurance standards, environmental data methodologies, and emerging regulatory frameworks across APAC.
  • Strengthen client relationships through clear communication, reliable delivery, and a commitment to quality.

What You’ll Bring

Required

  • Degree‑level education in sustainability, engineering, business, auditing, or a related discipline.
  • Practical experience delivering assurance engagements (financial or non‑financial), ideally within a professional services environment.
  • 3–4 years’ experience and strong understanding of assurance principles, ESG/GHG data, and sustainability reporting.
  • Knowledge of key sustainability and GHG reporting frameworks (e.g., ASRS, NGER, GRI Standards, GHG Protocol, ISSB, CDP, TCFD, SDGs).
  • Familiarity with auditing/assurance standards such as ISSA 5000, ISAE 3000, ISAE 3410, ISO 14064‑3, or PCAOB Attestation Standards.
  • Technical understanding of environmental impacts, emissions, climate change, and GHG.
  • Demonstrated capability in data analysis, including advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and meet client deadlines.
  • High self‑motivation, reliability, and a collaborative mindset.
  • Willingness to travel to client offices and operational sites.

Preferred

  • Experience in ESG, climate reporting, or sustainability‑related client delivery.
  • Direct exposure to assurance of sustainability‑linked loans, product carbon claims, or carbon market engagements.
  • Experience working with multinational clients or cross‑regional project teams.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers in delivering independent assurance of GHG/ESG information, including sustainability reporting, sustainability‑linked financial instruments, product claims, and carbon market requirements.
  • Execute assurance procedures under the supervision of senior colleagues, including:
    • Media and desktop research
    • Analytical review of ESG and GHG data
    • Evidence collection and evaluation
    • Site visits
    • Disclosure assessments
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation in accordance with assurance standards and internal quality systems.
  • Assist senior colleagues during head office and operational site visits, contributing to fieldwork and client discussions.
  • Work collaboratively across multiple projects to ensure timely, high‑quality deliverables.
