  • Current work authorization for Canada is required for all openings.
  • The work location for this role is 483 Bay Street in Toronto until approximately late 2026, when the work location will change to the new Mississauga office at 3 Robert Speck Parkway.

What You'll Do

The Corporate Affairs Coordinator supports the execution of Fidelity Canada’s corporate affairs strategy with a focus on media relations, public policy advocacy, community management and data and measurement. The Corporate Affairs team’s mission is to develop a compelling Fidelity Canada story, effectively communicate that story to the media, policymakers and clients and enhance the organization’s reputation and position in the marketplace.

The Corporate Affairs Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, tracking, measuring and contributing to the day-to-day activities of the Corporate Affairs team. This includes multimedia content creation, webcast moderation and community management, managing a team calendar, organizing media interviews and engagements, administering media and external stakeholder partnerships, managing a dashboard of key activities and their impact and supporting evolving Corporate Affairs initiatives and tasks as assigned.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Support media relations (earned media)

  • Proactively identify traditional and digital media opportunities to tell the Fidelity Canada story
  • Pitch story opportunities and secure approval
  • Create background and communications materials and manage preparation
  • Grow the reach of Fidelity Canada’s story through deeper and new media relationships

Support media partnerships (paid media)

  • In collaboration with marketing and advertising teams, proactively identify traditional and digital media partnerships to expand paid reach and content production capabilities
  • Administer the partnerships from due diligence and onboarding to content creation to implementation and reporting

Support public policy stakeholder relations

  • In collaboration with legal and regulatory affairs teams, proactively identify strategic external stakeholders in support of Fidelity Canada’s public policy advocacy goals
  • Administer the partnerships from due diligence and onboarding to implementation and reporting

Support community management

  • Support daily webcast moderation/daily monitoring of community inboxes
  • Support internal events and employee engagement initiatives

Data and measurement

  • Taking direction from the Corporate Affairs management team & create a framework for data collection for major Corporate Affairs activities
  • Collaborate with Market Research, Advanced Analytics, Editorial Content, Digital Media and Marketing teams to automate data collection and create dashboards for reporting purposes

What We are Looking For:

  • 2+ years of work experience required, specifically in developing positive relationships with the media, public policy-oriented stakeholders, and/or organizations and people of influence
  • University degree required, preferably in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or Political Science, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with delivering positive traditional and/or new media coverage required
  • Familiarity with data and measurement tools required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to stakeholders
  • Knowledge of the investment industry is an asset

For this role, your total rewards include:

  • Base Salary and Discretionary Performance Bonus: A competitive annual range of $73,000 to $90,000 based on your experience and qualifications.
  • RRSP Contribution: After 6 months of employment, we invest in your future with an RRSP contribution—no employee matching required.
