There is high demand placed on the High-Speed Separator in terms of performance. Therefore, Alfa Laval invests in the field of separator technology with increased focus on advanced computer simulation methods along with practical testing and analysis. We are looking for a passionate, driven Core Technology Manager who can help us do even better than we do today. You will have a central role in our strive towards optimizing performance.

About the job

With this position, you will lead the Core Technology group, it consists of three core competence teams, Solid Mechanics, Machine Dynamics and Fluid Dynamics. The Core Technology teams act as specialists that handle complex mechanics and physics and work closely with many different teams. As a manager for this team, you love technology, simulation and complex product development. On top of that you will play an important role in supporting sales, service and operations with different tasks.

To facilitate this, we also carry out and develop numerical simulations, laboratory test methods, theoretical analyses and field tests.

High Speed Separators involve a variety of interesting and challenging physical phenomena such as rapid rotation, large rotating forces, complex fluid mechanics, large stresses on rotating parts, dynamic behavior of the rotor assembly and frame.

The position offers many interesting challenges and opportunities to grow and develop as a leader of a specialists’ group. The group you are joining is highly competent and highly motivated, with a mix of PhD and MSc degrees as educational background.

What you know

We are looking for a candidate with a Master or PhD in engineering. It is expected that you will have training and experience in the core technologies mentioned. Besides a strong profile within your specialist field, you should have genuine curiosity and ability to acquire new knowledge.

You are fluent in English, both written and spoken. Swedish is a merit.

As a technology manager it is expected that you have managerial skills, are a good communicator and can be a strong representative and driver of your topics, within our company.
