  • Salary range: [$ $110,000-$175,00) The pay rate offered is determined within the pay range and is dependent on a variety of factors, including but not limited to FTE, prior experience, certifications, degrees, subspecialties, projected volumes, and quality performance measures

What you will do:

  • Works in partnership with the Program Director and other Family Medicine core faculty to ensure high-quality instruction and training of residents.  Serves in a teaching role by organizing and/or providing specified didactic conferences and by direct observation of residents in the behavioral science domain of patient care. 
  • Participates administratively within the Family Medicine Residency – attending scheduled faculty, staff and resident meetings, periodically review and assess resident progress, maintains documentation of program and curricular materials and prepares reports for accreditation purposes.
  • Provides clinical expertise from a behavioral science perspective through consultation, precepting and direct services.
  • Provides didactic and experiential activities which facilitate resident and staff development.
  • Directs resident and faculty wellness activities including monitoring of resident and faculty wellness/risk for burnout,
  • Maintains professional skills through appropriate credentialing, continuing education, and/or involvement in professional activities and organizations.
  • Engages in scholarly activity.

What you will need:

  • PhD in Clinical Psychology (PhD or PsyD in clinical psychology or related degree)

  • OR  LCSW/MSW with graduate teaching experience

  • Experience and/or training in clinical health psych, primary care psych and/or residency education

  • Illinois licensure or license eligibility.

  • Clinical practice experience in health psychology is required.

  • Ideal candidates will have experience in medical education and health psychology.

  • Postdoctoral fellowship in health psychology in an academic setting is preferred.

  • Fluency in Spanish and experience in an urban Family Medicine Residency program are preferred but not required
