We’re a global team of over 400 people, working together to push the boundaries of open-source technology and multi-cloud solutions. Our vision is to help developers, builders, and creators bring their ideas to life with speed and simplicity, by providing a cloud data platform that makes open-source databases, search, streaming, and application infrastructure easily accessible to everyone.
The Role:
We are looking for an organized, curious, and driven Marketing Campaigns Specialist to serve as the operational engine room for our Marketing Acquisition & Growth (MA&G) team.
You won’t just be watching from the sidelines; you will be learning the foundational marketing craft by supporting experienced marketers with accuracy, reliability, and execution. You will act as a cross-functional pivot point, supporting our efforts across Campaigns, Partner Marketing, and Growth, ensuring programs run smoothly, events are coordinated flawlessly, and our data tells the right story.
This is the ideal role for a professional with 1–3 years of experience who is eager to master the tools and tactics of a modern, high-growth marketing engine.
What You'll Do:
1. Campaign Execution & Coordination
- Execution Support: Support the end-to-end execution of multi-channel campaigns (email, webinars, third-party events) under the guidance of Campaign Managers.
- Asset Management: Handle tactical duties such as building emails, uploading lists, managing asset libraries, and ensuring tracking codes are correctly applied.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Coordinate with peers in Sales and Ops to ensure smooth program handover and effective lead follow-up.
2. Growth & Data Operations
- Performance Reporting: Assist in pulling basic performance metrics (e.g., Leads, MQLs, CPL) from existing dashboards to support weekly reporting and decision-making.
- Testing Support: Support the Growth team in setting up and monitoring A/B tests and experiments, ensuring results are recorded accurately.
- Data Hygiene: Maintain strict data hygiene within our CRM and Marketing Automation platforms, ensuring accurate data entry and integration from various sources.
3. Partner & Event Logistics
- Event Ops: Manage the tactical logistics for partner webinars and events, including calendar management, invite creation, and post-event lead processing.
- Project Tracking: Take ownership of smaller marketing projects; identifying blockers early and flagging them to leadership to keep timelines on track.
Competencies & Requirements
What We're Looking For:
- 1–3 years of relevant experience, ideally within a corporate or B2B technology environment.
- Exposure to working with cross-functional teams (e.g., supporting Sales, Product, or general Operations).
Technical Skills (The Toolkit)
- Marketing Automation: Basic proficiency in tools like HubSpot, Marketo, or Pardot (e.g., ability to set up simple emails, lists, or landing pages).
- CRM: Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRMs (navigating records, basic reporting, understanding lead status).
- Data Literacy: Comfortable using Excel/Google Sheets to organize data; ability to generate standard reports and spot obvious errors.
- Content/CMS: Experience using a CMS to edit or publish basic content is a plus.
Behaviors (The Aiven Way)
- Get it Done, Together (Collaboration):
- You build trusted relationships with immediate peers and share information proactively to support team tasks. You communicate task status clearly and ask for help when needed.
- Invent & Impress (Innovation):
- You are curious. You ask "why" and suggest small improvements to your own tasks and workflows. You don't just accept the status quo; you test new ideas to improve efficiency.
- We Commit & Deliver (Ownership):
- You take ownership of assigned tasks, delivering on time and with high quality. When blocked, you raise a flag immediately rather than waiting.
- Frugality (Efficiency):
- You have a basic understanding of cost-effective practices and support the implementation of efficient marketing tactics (e.g., reusing assets, optimizing lists).
