Job Summary:
In accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values of Genesis Health System (GHS), the Coordinator of Volunteer Services will collaborate with leaders to understand, analyze, and implement volunteer programs to supplement workforce needs for GMC Davenport and GMC Silvis. Key accountabilities include: Recruit, interview and successfully place Volunteers into their work assignment. Develop and maintain volunteer training and onboarding practices. Supervise and evaluate individual volunteer performance to ensure adherence to the Genesis mission, values and regulatory compliance standards. Represent Volunteer Services to improve overall organizational performance outcomes through participation on patient experience and safety initiatives. Ongoing program administration and staffing coordination for Volunteer Services such as (but not limited to) Gift Shops, Information Desks, Pet Therapy, Rounding Techs and SHIIP.
Job Duties:
The job requires direct supervision of a small work group or unit.
This includes responsibility for up to 6 employees.
Hiring, training, assigning, monitoring and assessing work,
promoting, etc.
Work involves ensuring that human resource related decisions are compatible
with the organization's policies, practices and direction.
Hours:
Full Time
40 hours/week
Minimum Qualifications:
More than 1 year experience required
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
