The Coordinator of Package Development reports to the Director of Package Development. The Package Development team is responsible for all new development with a focus on innovation and sustainability. This role provides general support to the Packaging team while gaining an in-depth understanding of the development process for color and skincare packaging from concept through execution.
WHAT YOU DO
- Support the Packaging team in all stages of development
- Develop in-depth knowledge and understanding of timelines, materials, deco processes, testing, etc.
- Create bill of materials and fill and assembly instructions
- Create and submit artwork requests for all primary and secondary packaging by collecting dielines and all required pack information for the Production Artist or Creative department
- Review and approve artwork for accuracy and completeness checking every aspect of packaging materials, labels, and product details to minimize errors and maintain consistency across packaging
- Assist in developing secondary packaging with vendors
- Review and distribute primary packaging range boards
- Create and issue primary packaging and finished good standards
- Maintain and organize packaging retains and archive
- Help maintain packaging and product specification databases
- Create packaging PO’s for tooling, dies, samples, etc.
- Support team in coordinating product samples for photoshoots, retailers, and marketing needs
- Send and receive packages
- Gain an understanding of project quotations and cost of goods
- Establish and build relationships with internal and external partners
- Responsible for coordinating meetings and attend as needed
- Additional projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 2 years of experience working at a cosmetics brand
- Luxury experience is preferred, but not required
- Meticulous attention to detail, consistency, and accuracy
- Strong skills in anticipating needs and demonstrating a proactive approach to job responsibilities
- Exceptional time management and organization skills and able to tackle multiple tasks based on priority
- Agile and able to switch gears immediately when necessary
- Creative thinker and able to think outside the box
- Comfortable asking questions
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Positive personality: able to take on new challenges as they come
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
- Must be able to work from Corporate Office at least 60% of the time
The expected hourly range for this position is $30 - $33/hr. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget.
This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan, based on personal performance and company results.
