Summary:
The Coordinator, Heritage & Memorabilia supports the New York Mets’ dual mission of celebrating the club’s history and driving revenue through the Amazin’ Memorabilia program. Working closely with the Manager, Heritage & Memorabilia, this role assists in the acquisition, cataloging, and sale of game-used items while helping to manage the team’s archival, museum, and Hall of Fame initiatives.
This role strengthens the connection between the Mets’ past and present by ensuring that every piece of memorabilia and every historical artifact is cared for, cataloged, and shared. The Coordinator, Heritage & Memorabilia supports both revenue growth and legacy preservation—helping the Mets celebrate their history while engaging fans in new and meaningful ways.
This position balances operational precision with storytelling—linking the Mets’ on-field moments to fans, collectors, and future generations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Amazin’ Memorabilia Operations
Assist in day-to-day operations of the Amazin’ Memorabilia business, including authentication, inventory management, and order fulfillment
Track, label, and document all game-used and team-issued items in coordination with MLB Authentication
Photograph, list, and describe merchandise for online auctions and in-person retail activations
Support player signings and autograph sessions; manage logistics and item flow
Ensure timely and accurate packaging and shipment of memorabilia orders
Coordinate with Consumer Products and Aramark Retail to align memorabilia displays and promotions within Citi Field stores
Heritage & Archives
Partner with Heritage Werks and internal stakeholders to maintain the Mets’ digital and physical archives
Catalog and preserve historical materials including photos, documents, artifacts, and uniforms
Assist with the design, installation, and rotation of exhibits within the Mets Hall of Fame & Museum
Help plan and execute expansion of heritage displays throughout the ballpark
Conduct research and data entry to support storytelling, anniversary projects, and content requests from other departments
Identify and assist in developing opportunities to monetize heritage assets through licensing, experiences, and special events
General Support & Administration
Maintain detailed inventory and transaction records for both memorabilia and heritage collections
Respond to fan and collector inquiries with professionalism and accuracy
Provide support on game days, special events, and ceremonies involving Mets alumni or historical moments
Assist in supervising interns or temporary staff as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sports Management, History, or related field
1–3 years of experience in retail operations, sports memorabilia, museum studies, or archival management
Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
Ability to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and Mets home games
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and basic inventory-management systems; experience with MLB Authentication, CMS, or archival software a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact effectively with athletes, vendors, and fans

Salary Range: $50,000 - $55,000
