ABOUT THE ROLE:  

Home Trust is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Events and Communications Coordinator to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event planning, communications and marketing while supporting initiatives that strengthen our brand and culture.

In addition:  

  • Assist with planning and execution of internal and external events.
  • Manage logistics such as venue booking, catering, AV requirements, and materials preparation.
  • Support the development and distribution of promotional materials.
  • Contribute to communications plans for events and campaigns.
  • Write, edit, and proofread content for accuracy and consistency.
  • Publish articles and updates on the company intranet.
  • Design and produce visual assets (graphics, presentations, promotional materials) to support campaigns and events.
  • Ensure all content aligns with brand standards
  • Oversee promotional merchandise inventory, including ordering, tracking, and distribution.
  • Maintain accurate records and coordinate shipments for events and campaigns.
  • Assist with invoices, expense tracking, and maintaining organized records.
  • Provide support for larger projects and campaigns as needed.

WHAT WE REQUIRE: 

  • Authorized to work in Canada Great communication skills 

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma, preferably in business management, finance, or related field (university an asset)  

  • 2-3 years relevant experience required in marketing, advertising or communications

  • Financial Services experience preferred

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud applications

  • Requires excellent time management skills and strong interpersonal skills

  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team

  • Highly detail oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate information and interact with stakeholders both verbally and through written communication

  • Proven ability to proactively collaborate, take initiative, and creatively problem solve

PREREQUISITE: Maintain a positive supportive attitude, help to maintain an inclusive and supportive company culture! 

Expected salary range is $60,000 to $70,000 per year.
