Coordinator, Artist Royalties

How we LEAD:

Excellent opportunity for hands-on learning and to become involved in numerous facets of the sales and royalty processing business.  Position is a cross-functional role providing administrative support to the Finance and Rights Management Divisions of Virgin Music Group as well as assisting the artist royalty team in maintaining royalty process and review procedures. 

How you’ll CREATE:

  • Manage, track and organize payments, payees and vendor set ups
  • Generate payment files and submit to necessary departments for reviews and submittals
  • Assist in oversight of the general rights and royalties email account to ensure that emails are addressed and handled timely
  • Set up new clients/labels into our standardized onboarding processes
  • Coordinate preparation stages for generation of monthly/quarterly client sales and royalty reporting
  • Provide support with catalog research, database ingestion and cleanup
  • Review and assist in artist royalty payout, including reviewing statements, input and review of sales and royalty rate terms
  • Coordinate compliance procedures with various UMG departments
  • Other Administrative duties as needed

Bring your VIBE:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in a finance and accounting role is preferred but not required
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and deal with tight deadlines
  • Willingness to work outside normal responsibilities to achieve desired results
  • Extremely detail oriented, excellent planning and execution skills with a proven ability to establish and meet impactful goals and objectives
  • Proficiency with the MS-Office Suite, particularly, outstanding Excel skills (e.g. V-Lookups, Pivot tables, etc.)
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, ever-changing entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management
  • Familiarity with the entertainment and/or music industry

Salary Range:

$50,600.00 - $70,800.00
