The Coordinating Data Steward is part of the Knowledge Department and plays a key role within the Data Management and Governance team. In this position, you will help shape and promote Bank-wide data management policy, guidelines, and practices, as well as artificial intelligence policy and guidelines, to support the Bank’s data strategy and operational objectives.
Reporting to the Enterprise Data Management Manager, you will contribute to strengthening data governance capabilities, ensuring data are managed as a strategic asset across the organisation.
About the Role
Support and develop data management capabilities across the Bank by working with senior business stakeholders to solve data related problems.
Contribute to the data management strategic direction.
Develop and maintain relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders to support data management core functions.
Contribute to and promote the bank-wide data management policy, guidelines and practices to support the Bank's data management objectives and operations.
Provide expertise in data management (including data quality management, metadata management, master and reference data management, data governance) and support to the Business Data Stewards with the collection and documentation of metadata, lineage, risks and controls to be recorded in the business glossary.
Provide expertise in AI governance.
About You
Solid understanding and experience in implementing data management and governance framework, ideally following the DAMA DMBoK, in the financial services or public sector industries.
Experience in building and maintaining strong collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at various levels.
Exposure to Artificial Intelligence governance.
Exposure and good understanding of data warehousing concepts.
Knowledge of SQL, R, Python and git is desired, but not essential.
Experience in metadata management tools.
