ERM is seeking a Certified Occupational Health & Safety Specialist (Mid Level) to join our consultancy team in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The specialist will provide full time support for client facilities in the city of Buenos Aires, with support and guidance from our office.

At ERM, we know that creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment is an essential part of making our company a great place to build a career. The Responsibilities are associated with daily support of EHS management, including, among others:

  • Ensure full compliance with Argentine health and safety legislation, including Law No. 19,587, Law No. 24,557, and applicable SRT resolutions.
  • Adhere to ERM’s corporate health & safety procedures.
  • Serve as the legal responsible professional for all legal EHS matters associated with the client's facilities.
  • Deliver mandatory safety and hygiene training sessions for client employees and document employee certifications, as needed.
  • Select and conduct oversight of contractors performing hygiene and environmental monitoring (e.g., noise levels, lighting, ergonomics) and implementation of recommend corrective measures where necessary.
  • Full support on the Emergency Preparedness and Response Plans of the client facilities (training to staff, drills, required document submits before the Authority, etc.)
  • Conduct regular EHS inspections to detect, identify, and assess occupational risks across the facilities.
  • Prepare technical EHS reports with recommendations and corrective measures to promote a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Provide follow-up with respect to the environmental legal permits and licenses applicable to the facilities (e.g. hazardous waste, air pollution, etc.), and their legal requirements.
  • Ensure full compliance of the client corporate environmental procedures applicable to the client facilities.
  • Supervise ergonomic conditions and recommend improvements for injury prevention.

Requirements:

  • Certified Occupational Health & Safety Bachelor Decree as per Resolution No. 1338/96 requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of national occupational safety regulations (e.g., Law No. 19,587, Law No. 24,557) and familiarity with international standards (ISO 45001, NFPA 101) is preferred.
  • Ability to work across multiple locations in the City of Buenos.
