A Cook provides a high quality of hospitality services, including food services. They work alongside a supportive and collaborative team and partner with residents to support their lifestyle and food choices and ensure they feel safe, valued and respected. This position is to support the household members and is supervised by the Hotel Services Manager. This position is responsible for providing high quality outcomes of Kitchen and Catering services for the wellbeing of residents through professional, caring and efficient execution of required duties.

Things that work for us:
Good availability to support team on CASUAL basis
Certificate III in cooking or above (Desirable but not necessary)
Previous experience in a similar role and/or experience in residential aged care sector
Excellent cooking skills and knowledge about kitchen management
Purchasing, invoicing and stock management skills
Knowledge about special dietary requirements of elderly clients
An ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and follow directives as per care plan
Ensure compliance with food safety hygiene standards
Maintaining a safe environment for residents and staff
Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
Understanding of Aged Care and resident rights and responsibilities
Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC)
NDIS Worker Screening Check may be a requirement of this role.
