Controls Engineer Intern (Software and Systems)
Duration: 12 weeks
Location: Lafayette, Indiana with occasional travel to the nearby facility in West Lafayette, IN.

Position Summary:
The Control Systems group is made up of a diverse team of engineers covering software, systems, electronics and mechanical. We work closely together on the design, integration, testing, in-service support and supply chain management to ensure our customers’ needs are met.
Control Systems at Rolls-Royce is an integral part of making sure the power and propulsion systems we produce meet customer requirements and uphold quality, safety and security standards. The various teams design and maintain the software and hardware that support the power and propulsion systems deployed around the world. The Systems and Software teams design and develop the systems and software used to control, monitor and communicate information required to operate an engine. This internship will be within our Controls Systems simulation group. This group is responsible for the real-time testers that have the capability to simulate aircraft engines, aircraft airframes and the environment
What you’ll be doing:
Supported by a Senior Engineer, you’ll get to work on projects to support our customers in software and systems covering design and integration.

Minimum GPA: 3.0
