About the Role
For MD Business in Flender, we are searching for a Controlling Specialist.
"Controlling & Commercial Specialist" to join our team located in Istanbul. As a Controlling & Commercial Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for monthly financial reporting, closing activities, P&L and balance sheet analyses, and supporting budgeting and forecasting processes in line with global standards.
What are my responsibilities?
- Prepare monthly financial reports, analyzing financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS
- Oversee the monthly closing process and ensure accuracy of accounting transactions
- Support the annual audit process in coordination with auditors and the accounting team
- Regularly monitor and analyze P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements
- Conduct revenue and expense analyses to identify cost optimization opportunities and insight on financial performance
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of financial data and reporting
- Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses and reports requested by management
- Partner closely with Operations, Sales, and Business Leaders to support decision-making
- Support annual budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting processes
What do I need to qualify for this job?
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Economics, or a related field
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in financial controlling, budgeting, or financial reporting (experience in audit firms is an advantage)
- Knowledge of IFRS; familiarity with US GAAP is an advantage
- Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
- Self‑driven, detail‑oriented, and highly organized
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (especially Excel)
- Preferably knowledgeable about SAP systems
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines
- Good command of both written and spoken English
- Construction Accounting knowledge is an advantage
