We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Controlling Business Partner. This role serves as a key business support function, reporting to the team lead of business controlling, and offers an excellent opportunity for career growth in a dynamic manufacturing industry.

We offer an 18‑month replacement contract with the possibility of extending it to a permanent one.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform financial analysis and reporting for R&D projects, including analyzing project costs, tracking expenditures, and providing insights into project performance.
  • Collaborate with R&D teams to develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial targets are met and providing regular reporting to senior management.
  • Conduct financial evaluations and risk assessments of proposed R&D initiatives, assisting in investment decision-making processes.
  • Support the development and implementation of financial controls and procedures specific to R&D activities, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Engage in the budgeting and forecasting processes for R&D projects, working with stakeholders to gather inputs and align financial plans with strategic objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost-savings, and financial efficiencies within the R&D function.
  • Serve as a global FP&A partner to contribute to financial modeling, scenario analysis, and decision support for R&D -related activities

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Completed university studies in the field of business administration/economics with a focus on controlling or a comparable qualification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of controlling experience, preferably in a manufacturing and/or an R&D/technology-driven environment.
  • Strong proficiency in SAP. Advanced knowledge of MS-Office systems (VBA, Power Query, Power BI) is desirable.
  • Familiarity with current controlling concepts and best practices.
  • Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively.
  • Proactive and independent mindset with a strong sense of initiative and an entrepreneurial approach.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate across departments.
  • Very good command of written and spoken English
