Position Summary

The Controllership Senior Associate will support financial operations for EMEA REMS entities. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and supporting efficient operational processes across assigned entities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary contact with external accounting service providers for assigned entities, monitoring service delivery and addressing operational issues

  • Support day-to-day financial operations including transaction processing, account reconciliations, and financial reporting activities

  • Perform and review account reconciliations, ensuring all balance sheet accounts are reconciled accurately and timely

  • Support month-end close process for assigned entities, preparing journal entries and ensuring timely delivery of financial results

  • Prepare and/or review statutory financial statements and supporting documentation for assigned entities

  • Coordinate audit requests and prepare audit documentation for internal and external audits

  • Support tax compliance activities including preparation of input data for tax filings and coordination with tax advisors

  • Monitor compliance with local regulatory requirements and statutory obligations for assigned entities

  • Support cash management activities including cash positioning and forecasting

  • Coordinate payroll and accounts payable payment processing, ensuring accuracy and timely execution

  • Identify process improvements and support implementation of best practices in financial controls and reporting

  • Maintain documentation of accounting policies, procedures, and controls for assigned entities

  • Support ad hoc projects and other activities related to entities in scope

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required

  • Master's degree preferred

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in audit, controllership or 5 years in accounting required

  • Prior experience in real estate, corporate services, or multi-entity environments preferred

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of IFRS, local GAAP, and US GAAP accounting standards

  • Proficiency in accounting systems and ERP platforms

  • Advanced Excel skills and financial systems reconciliation experience
