Job Description
Position Overview
As a Control Room Operator, you will be responsible for monitoring, operating, and remotely analyzing Invenergy’s wind assets and those of third parties.
Responsibilities:
Follow safety procedures and protocols
Monitor and remotely reset wind turbines and other wind farm equipment
Communicate and coordinate with field technicians, clients, and third parties
Analyze data and trends, troubleshoot and diagnose issues, or escalate to specialized teams
Monitor weather conditions at asset locations to ensure the safety of technicians and on-site personnel
Work independently or collaboratively on projects and initiatives to improve operations and Control Center reliability
Maintain accurate activity records
Work on a shift schedule, which may include nights, weekends, and some holidays
Make quick decisions and notify the necessary personnel in case of emergencies or critical incidents
Required Skills:
Technical degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related fields
Knowledge of GE turbines and other platforms is considered a plus
Experience with SCADA systems, preferably focused on wind operations
Strong attention to detail
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
Preferred Skills:
Intermediate English (B1 level) is a plus
Experience with solar plant operations is a plus
1–2 years of experience as a Control Center Operator or in local operations
Experience with data monitoring software such as PI or Elipse EPM
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Knowledge of BI tools, dashboard creation, and automated systems is a strong differentiator
