Ecolab is seeking a Control and Compliance Analyst supporting our Global Business Services team, playing a key role in supporting the SOX and internal control framework, responsible for ensuring the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls, supporting independent audits, and driving process improvements across finance operations.

What You Will Do:
This position is responsible for managing
- Perform SOX control testing (Test of Design and Test of Effectiveness) and document results in line with internal and external audit standards.
- Coordinate with process owners and auditors (internal and external) to support walkthroughs, evidence collection, and remediation tracking.
- Validate the Control design and Effectiveness with the relevant Business Process Narratives (BPNs), SOPs, and DTPs to ensure alignment with current processes and control requirements.
- Monitor Segregation of Duties (SOD) and support access reviews to mitigate risk of fraud or control override.
- Track and report on control deficiencies, remediation plans, and incident management.
- Conduct periodic control health checks and risk assessments to identify gaps and recommend improvements.
- Support control design for new processes or transitions (e.g., migrations, system changes).
- Assist in automation initiatives related to control testing and documentation, including identifying automation opportunities and supporting implementation.
- Contribute to harmonization of control processes across regions and functions to drive standardization and efficiency.
- Facilitate compliance awareness sessions and contribute to a culture of risk ownership across operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely backfills and avoid control ownership gaps.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, ACCA, or CISA are Preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in internal controls, SOX compliance, audit, or risk management.
- Strong understanding of internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI) is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle).
- Exposure to finance processes such as Record-to-Report (R2R), Order-to-Cash (OTC), and Source-to-Pay (STP) is an added advantage.
Skills:
- Experience with GRC platforms such as AuditBoard, Archer, or similar tools is a plus.
- Exposure to global finance operations or shared services environments.
- Familiarity with FMEA, root cause analysis, or other risk assessment methodologies.
- Comfort working with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to identifying risks and driving solutions.
- Ability to work independently and manage ambiguity in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
