The Contract Manager is an experienced and detail-oriented individual overseeing and managing the contract lifecycle and associated processes within the organization. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the efficient creation, negotiation, and execution of contracts in alignment with business objectives, all while ensuring adherence to company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards. The Contract Manager will work cross-functionally to improve contract management workflows and optimize processes to drive efficiency, consistency, and compliance across the organization.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contract Lifecycle Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of contracts, from initiation and negotiation to execution and renewal, ensuring compliance with established policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
- Process Optimization: Develop, implement, and refine standardized processes for contract creation, review, approval, and execution. Identify opportunities to improve contract management processes to ensure efficiency and reduce risks.
- Contract Review and Analysis: Lead the review, analysis, and modification of contract terms and conditions, ensuring clarity, fairness, and compliance. Provide guidance on the interpretation and implications of contract terms.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with internal teams, including legal, sales, operations, finance, procurement, and others, to ensure contract processes are aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks in contracts and implement processes to mitigate these risks, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain detailed records of contracts and related documents. Provide regular reports to senior management on the status of contracts, potential issues, and process performance.
- Training and Guidance: Provide training and support to internal teams on contract management processes and best practices, ensuring proper understanding and adherence to contract-related policies.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously assess contract management processes and implement improvements to streamline workflows, enhance efficiency, and improve overall outcomes.
- Other responsibilities, as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum of five years’ progressive responsibility with quantifiable results in contract negotiation, administration and/or management
- Demonstrated negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Robust skills in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project and Visio
- Ability to meet project objectives within designated constraints
- Organized and detail oriented with strategic mindset.
- Ability to influence and take on needs across the business.
- Make and be responsible for decisions, following established guidelines, policies, and procedures.
