Your Opportunity

The Office of the General Counsel at BDO Canada LLP is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Contracts Intake Coordinator to support our Commercial Contracting practice. This is a net new role and is ideal for a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality administrative and legal support. This role includes the following responsibilities:

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for commercial contract intake requests (e.g. NDAs, MSAs, RFPs, etc.) submitted to the OGC, ensuring timely acknowledgment and triage
  • Review incoming contract requests for completeness and accuracy; follow up with stakeholders to obtain missing information or clarification as needed
  • Assess and categorize contract requests based on contract type, complexity, risk, and urgency, and route them appropriately within the legal team or appropriate BDO internal team
  • Manage the commercial contract intake queue, ensuring visibility over status, priorities, and turnaround times
  • Track key contracting milestones and deadlines, proactively following up to ensure efficient progression of matters
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align expectations on contracting timelines, requirements, and next steps
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of contract intake processes, tools, and workflows
  • Maintain accurate records of all contract intake requests and related data to support reporting and operational insights
  • Assist with the development of contract intake guidelines, forms, and user-facing resources to improve submission quality and consistency
  • Identify recurring issues or bottlenecks in the contract intake process and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and user experience

Your experience and education

  • 2–4+ years of experience supporting commercial contract intake, legal operations, or contract lifecycle workflows within a legal, procurement or similar environment
  • Demonstrated experience managing intake and triage of commercial agreements (e.g. NDAs, MSA, RFPs, etc), including assessing completeness and routing requests
  • Strong organizational and process management skills, with the ability to handle a high volume of contract intake requests
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a client-service mindset
  • Sound judgment and ability to prioritize contract requests in a fast-pace, deadline-driven environment
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with intake within contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems is an asset

The expected range of compensation for this role is $51,000 to $77,000 annually
