Job Description:
The Contractor, Tutoring Data will play a key role in supporting team access to daily and weekly data related to student and tutor attendance and live tutoring sessions. This data provides the team with clear visibility into day-to-day program health and supports strategic decision-making to increase impact and drive continuous improvement for Amplify Tutoring.
Amplify Tutoring launched in response to heightened student needs resulting from disruptions in schooling and unfinished learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, high-dosage tutoring has gained national momentum as a proven, research-based approach to closing achievement gaps. This role offers the opportunity to join an innovative team supporting schools, districts, and states in scaling high-impact tutoring programs. Amplify partners closely with districts and states across a range of initiatives, including:
Providing small-group reading tutoring directly to students through Amplify Tutors
Supplying tutoring materials, professional development, and program management for district-managed implementations
Delivering high-impact tutoring consulting services to support program design and implementation
This role requires approximately 8:00 AM ET to 12:00 PM ET, Monday–Friday. Hours are based on data and business needs and may be up to 20 hours per week. This is a temporary position, with an anticipated start in late January and an end date in early April 2026.
Essential Responsibilities:
Examples of daily data work include:
Clean and upload tutor attendance data
Update static docs (attendance summaries, tutor record exports, tutor start dates)
Update Looker reports with scrubbed session data
Review and code absence logs
Track and report daily missed sessions
Schedule Looker reports
Add new hires from HR/IT systems
Set up tutor records for new tutors
Update small-group trackers
Update key project plan milestones
Examples of weekly data work include:
Refresh Looker import on student attendance board
Report on tutor delivery, OCS hours, and AM hours
Produce tutor management and tutoring health reports
Update project plans and program monitoring dashboards
Update AM availability heat maps
Copy and validate AM hours
Scrub retroactive cancellations
Prep AM sign-up sheets
Add attendance folders to student attendance board
Conduct QA and review of student growth reports
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience using data management tools to support program implementation and oversight
Proficient in Looker Studio for data visualization
Proficient in Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs) and/or Excel
Experience analyzing qualitative and quantitative data to identify insights and trends
Project management experience, including the ability to independently manage complex projects from start to finish
Experience working cross-functionally to execute complex initiatives
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience developing data management tools and reports
Experience managing and analyzing tutoring implementation data
Experience managing and analyzing personnel data to support hiring and scheduling needs, ideally in K-12 education
Entrepreneurial mindset
Comfort working in a fast-paced environment
Systems thinker with the ability to balance multiple priorities and scenarios
Compensation:
The hourly rate range for this role is $23-$25.
