What you’ll do:

We are growing, we are scaling, and we need your help to create proactive and passive pipelines of incredible talent. The Technical Sourcer is part of a global team responsible for all top of the funnel activities and works closely with our leadership team to support the forward leaning hiring strategy. Your focus will be on building market research/insights, outbound recruiting, Industry/function outreach, and you will have the chance to drive sourcing approaches, tools and recommend improvements. With drive, focus and an enterprising approach you will shape the talent pipeline, the team’s efficiency, represent our employer brand on outreach, and influence the growth of our company culture. You will partner with global team members throughout the execution of these critical components while we facilitate company growth as well as:

  • Creatively source and connect with top engineering talent to prospect a vibrant talent pipeline in support of global company hiring needs.
  • Become an expert in selling the company story, the exciting challenges our engineers get to tackle every day, and an unbeatable culture.
  • Work closely with recruiters, coordinators, and hiring managers to deeply understand the requirements for our roles and their impact on the company and product as a whole.
  • Track pipeline activity and metrics, using this data to constantly calibrate with recruiters and hiring management to make improvements.
  • Create unrivaled sourcing plans (by role, level and location) to identify top talent, including but not limited to sourcing databases (through key partnerships), Boolean searches, networking events, market research/insights, Industry/function outreach, and other creative tools/platforms.
  • Act as the industry go-to for top-talent (via networking, keeping up with tech news, industry mapping, etc.).
  • Execute on plan, delivering timely updates and flexing strategy as hiring plan changes.
  • Effectively deliver in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Actively build and utilize numerous channels to increase the diversity of applicant pools.
  • Ensure hiring manager, recruiter and candidate experience is positive.
  • Conduct pre-screening phone interviews to assess candidates for needed skill set,
  • competencies, potential fit for position and culture.
  • Assist with other recruiting team responsibilities as needed.
  • Develop and demonstrate a deep understanding of our culture.

Who you are:

  • Technical Sourcing experience for software, product-driven companies OR agency recruiting focused on hiring full time full stack developers.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • BA/BS in computer science or related field highly preferred.
  • Equipped with creative sourcing techniques, and a proven track record of engaging talent/ hiring for hard to fill roles at super speed.
  • Ability to understand technical concepts and passion for having technical discussions.
  • Strong work ethic, sense of urgency, adaptability, and ability to prioritize.
  • A positive attitude with a dedication to problem solving and delivery.
  • Solid knowledge of current trends, innovations and standard methodologies within recruiting.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Passionate about people and an impulsive instinct to help others, go above and beyond, and think ahead.
  • Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams; share responsibility for results, provide and accept feedback.
  • Maintains high level of confidentiality and professionalism.

 

CO, CA, IL, NY, WA, and Washington DC residents only: In accordance with CO, CA, IL, NY, WA, and Washington DC law, the range provided is The Trade Desk's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as variable compensation-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year.  Employees can also purchase The Trade Desk stock at a discount through The Trade Desk’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is
$45$60 USD
