MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. Bachelor’s degree and Five (5) years in a procurement role.
OR
Associate’s degree and Seven (7) years in a procurement role.
EXPERIENCE:
1. Experience providing procurement services to business leads, sourcing planning and execution, contract negotiations, and supplier relationship management
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM).
EXPERIENCE:
1. Experience in Project planning and management.
2. Experience in complex contract negotiations, competitive price analysis, contract management and spend analysis
3. Experience with contract negotiation with a GPO is preferred.
4. Experience with identifying and capitalizing on new savings opportunities in a highly competitive environment.

1. Lead and direct strategic sourcing initiatives to achieve savings goal for the GPO for assigned categories of spend.
3. Plan, schedule and monitor category sourcing initiatives, ensuring proper resource allocation and on-time delivery of projects.
4. Provides detailed analysis of proposals and vendor capabilities, negotiations and supplier selection.
5. Effectively communicate new savings and opportunities and initiatives with senior leadership.
6. Assists the category manager to collaborate with executive leadership within the organization to create strategies for cost reduction, supplier consolidation, quality improvements while developing and implementing process efficiency improvements.
7. Act as a champion for business development process improvement.
8. Serve as product, contract, and price expert for the GPO membership within their assigned categories.
9. Resolve any issues related to products or contracts between GPO membership and vendors within assigned category.
10. Liaison between GPO membership and vendor partners.
11. Assist and mentor less senior staff in the sourcing department.
