Contract Manager
Location: Blanchardstown, Dublin
Duration: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Overview of the role:
This role will report directly to the General Manager.
Contract Manager with responsibility for customer service on Veolia Key accounts.
The role will involve the management of operational activities in the waste management scope whilst maintaining a high standard of customer service.
A key aspect of this role is the development of the contracts through innovations and continuous improvement, establishing improvements in waste stream flows, handling, and ultimate treatment.
To provide effective account management for our customers inclusive of sub contractor and on-field team management under the following criteria; Health & Safety Adherence to all relevant Legislation Service Level Agreements / KPI's Adherence to Budget/Financial Management Regulatory Compliance Supply Chain Management Manage all aspects of the contract to ensure it meets its financial budget targets, invoice management, preparation of quotations and tracking to forecasts Support the Site Operations Manager in delegating,organising and coordinating all resources Report to the client on contract progress and ensure client satisfaction
Day to day of the role:
Managing and developing the performance of contracts, including service delivery, budgets, resources and health and safety.
Developing client relationships and engaging with key stakeholders to promote the Veolia brand.
Supporting and developing your direct reports, enabling them to deliver in their roles.
Achieving targeted levels of revenue, operation efficiency and customer service.
Ensure compliance against Veolia minimum standards and support with assurance checks and improvement planning to enhance contract performance.
Manage customer complaints effectively to support the reduction of escalations.
Improving the environment in which your staff work.
Reporting on business performance, monitoring KPIs and ensuring continuous improvement to clients and line manager
Required skills for this role:
Leadership and organisational skills
Clean Driving Licence is desired
Environmental Science background / qualification is an advantage for the role
All Job-Specific training shall be provided by Veolia
Experience in Customer Service Management
Experience in hazardous waste and non hazardous waste
Experience of leading an operational team
Self Motivated
Strong IT Skills
DGSA certification (desired)
Experience in Waste Management and Recycling. Chemical Awareness. Collaborative, respectful, and effective when communicating with colleagues. Working in a regulated environment, Compliance, Computer Literate. (Essential)
ADR/IMDG experience. Experience in transporting Dangerous Goods (Desirable)
Health and Safety Conscious, Focus on Continuous Improvement, Innovation. Proficient PC skills. Communication at all levels
Have a good working knowledge of HSE legislation and its application
Need to be a good communicator. Disciplined in work ethic and capable of managing numerous tasks. Customer service focused
Practical, pragmatic, and adaptable to change
